CPS President Message

Chattagram Photographic Society (CPS) is among the oldest and most respected photographic organizations in Bangladesh. Since its founding in 1983 in Chattogram, the Society has played a significant role in promoting the art and practice of photography and in supporting photographers, enthusiasts, and the wider cultural community. In 2026, I was deeply honored when my fellow photographers entrusted me with the responsibility of serving as President of this esteemed institution. I accepted this role with great appreciation for the confidence and encouragement extended by colleagues from across our photographic community—both senior practitioners and emerging talents. As President, I am committed to strengthening CPS as a dynamic, inclusive, and internationally engaged photographic platform. Our vision is to expand opportunities for members, foster creative and educational initiatives, and further position CPS within the global photographic community. In the coming years, we aim to focus on several key priorities: Strengthening and streamlining the CPS membership structure Developing a modern and comprehensive official website Expanding educational and creative initiatives, including photography courses, workshops, and symposiums Creating opportunities for members to exhibit their work and engage with wider audiences Establishing an online platform through the CPS website to showcase and sell members’ photographs Enhancing CPS’s international engagement and welcoming photographers from around the world to collaborate and participate I sincerely look forward to the continued cooperation and support of our members, photography enthusiasts, and friends of CPS around the world. Together, we will continue to advance the mission of CPS and ensure that it remains a respected platform for photographic excellence, creativity, and cultural exchange.
